Security & Privacy

Your work matters. So does your data.

Security, privacy and responsible AI matter when handling everyday work information. Explore the work context, the review process and the questions to discuss before using EMO for your organization.

Your data

EMO brings work conversations, tasks, files and reports into a connected work context. Depending on the workflow, information can include messages, task details, notes, photos and PDFs.

The Terms of Use state that customers retain rights to the content they upload or create. For organization-wide information, agree who is responsible for sharing, access and data requests.

Security and access

Sharing work information starts with deciding who should be involved. Discuss your organization’s access requirements with EMO, including user roles, shared work records and personal daily information.

In the documented task workflow, Session proposes a task for the user to review and confirm. Review the details and intended recipient before creating or sharing a work record.

AI and your information

AI helps interpret work messages and propose structured tasks or reports. The information involved depends on the request and its linked work context. The Terms of Use require users to review AI-generated content before relying on it.

Before submitting sensitive or restricted information, ask EMO which providers process it, what information is sent, and which training, retention and contractual terms apply to your intended use.

Data storage and infrastructure

Data location includes more than the main work record. For your organization’s assessment, ask about file storage, AI processing, backups and support access, as well as any international transfers and applicable safeguards.

Privacy and GDPR

The Website Privacy Policy covers website signups and enquiries. The App Privacy Policy describes app-related information. Customer-controlled work data and EMO’s own account or business information can have different responsibilities, which should be addressed in the applicable agreement.

For business processing terms, contact EMO to discuss the agreement applicable to your organization. The current DPA is a legal-review draft, not an approved contractual version.

Practical questions

Who can access our company’s information?

Start with the people who need the work information and the sharing settings required by your organization. Contact EMO to discuss the access arrangements for your intended workflow.

Where is our data stored?

Ask EMO for the processing locations applicable to your intended service, including files, AI processing, backups and support. Company location alone does not describe every data-processing location.

Does EMO use customer content to train AI models?

Do not assume that every AI feature or provider has the same terms. Ask EMO for the training restrictions and provider terms applicable to your intended use before submitting restricted information.

What happens when information is sent to an AI provider?

The relevant questions are what content is submitted, why it is needed, where it is processed and how the provider handles it afterwards. Contact EMO to discuss these requirements for your workflow.

Can we delete or export our data?

The Terms of Use address access, export and switching. Contact EMO to discuss the available process for your organization’s records, including scope, format and any retention obligations.

Does EMO support GDPR-related requirements?

Read the privacy documents and discuss your organization’s processing requirements with EMO. Responsibilities depend on the information and the applicable agreement; the documents are not a security certification.

Is a Data Processing Agreement available?

A DPA has been prepared as a legal-review draft. It is not an approved contractual version. Contact EMO about business processing terms before relying on it.
